Unitley

Responsible gambling

Unitley is analysis, not a sportsbook. It can't make any bet a sure thing, and it can't stop you placing one. Here is what it does to keep your stakes in proportion, and where to get help.

21+Only where betting is legal

0121+ and only where it's legal

Unitley is for people 21 or older. Sports betting is legal only in some places, and the rules differ from one to the next. Bet only where it is legal for you.

When you set up an account, you confirm that you are 21 or older and that you understand Unitley gives analysis only, with no guarantees. Unitley doesn’t check where you are or block any location: those confirmations are yours to keep.

02What Unitley does

Bankroll and limits

Fractional Kelly, never full Kelly.

Kelly sizes a stake by your edge. Full Kelly assumes the chance behind it is exact, and swings hard when it isn’t, so Unitley never uses it: every risk profile bets a fraction of it, under a cap.

  1. 01

    Conservative

    Quarter Kelly · max 2% a bet

  2. 02

    Balanced

    Third Kelly · max 3% a bet

  3. 03

    Aggressive

    Half Kelly · max 5% a bet

  • Stake caps

Each profile caps any single stake at a share of your bankroll, and you can set a maximum stake of your own on top. A suggested stake never goes past either.

  • Loss limits, as warnings

Set a daily and a weekly loss limit. Unitley warns you before a bet could take you past one, counting your open bets as if they lost, and keeps suggested stakes inside the room that's left.

  • A record that doesn't forget

Log your bets and Unitley settles the ones it can grade once their games finish, so your record, ROI and units come from results, not memory.

  • No promises

Every pick shows its price, the chance Unitley's math gives it and the reasoning behind it. None is a guarantee, and a good bet can still lose.

These are warnings and suggestions, not blocks. Unitley is not where you place bets, so it can’t stop one you place at a sportsbook. The limits work only if you keep to them.

03Signs and habits

Signs betting may be a problem

  • Betting more than you planned, or more than before to get the same feeling.
  • Chasing losses: betting again to win back what you lost.
  • Betting with money meant for rent, bills or food, or borrowing to bet.
  • Hiding how much you bet from the people close to you.
  • Feeling restless or irritable when you try to cut back.
  • Betting to escape stress, boredom or a low mood.
  • Letting work, school, sleep or family slide because of betting.

If any of these sound familiar, talk to someone. Call 1-800-GAMBLER.

Habits that help

  • Decide what you can afford to lose before you start, and treat it as spent.
  • Set your loss limits and a maximum stake in Unitley before you need them, not after a bad day.
  • Bet in units, so no single game decides how you do.
  • Never chase. A loss is the cost of the bet, not a debt to win back.
  • Don't bet when you're upset, tired or drinking.
  • Take breaks, and look at your Bet Log honestly once a week.

04Taking a break

Step away for as long as you need.

At your sportsbook

Licensed sportsbooks generally offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion in your account settings. Self-exclusion closes your account there for the period you choose.

Where you live

Many states run a self-exclusion program that bars you from licensed betting in the state for a set time, usually through the state’s gaming regulator. ncpgambling.org can point you to help where you live.

On your devices

Blocking software can keep gambling sites and apps off your phone and computer.

At Unitley

Revoke your access tokens on the Connect page, so no agent can reach your account, and delete your account in Settings. Deleting removes everything saved with it. See the privacy policy for what that covers.
