Questions, answered.
What Unitley does and doesn't do, the three ways to run it, where its numbers come from, and how it keeps bets in proportion.
01About Unitley
What is Unitley?
Unitley is a sports betting analysis tool. It reads the NFL slate, FanDuel's prices, player props, injury reports and the weather, and shows the numbers behind every answer: the chance a price implies, the price with the sportsbook's margin taken out, the expected value of a bet and a stake sized to your bankroll.
FeaturesDoes Unitley guarantee wins or sell picks?
No. Everything Unitley shows is an estimate, and a bet with a positive expected value still loses often. Unitley shows its working so you can judge it, and sizes stakes with a fraction of Kelly and a cap per bet so that one loss never takes much of your bankroll.
Can I place bets with Unitley?
No. Unitley is not a sportsbook: it takes no bets and holds no money. You place bets with your own sportsbook, where betting is legal for you, and can record them in Unitley's Bet Log to track your results.
Bet trackingWhich sports does Unitley cover?
The NFL is live. NBA, MLB, NHL, soccer (the Premier League, MLS and the Champions League), college football and college basketball are coming soon, with no dates promised yet. In the app you can ask to be told when one goes live.
SportsWhich bets can Unitley analyse?
Moneylines, point spreads, totals, player props (passing, rushing and receiving yards, and anytime touchdowns) and parlays of 2 to 25 legs. Futures and live, in-game betting are coming soon.

02Odds and data
Where does Unitley's data come from?
Sportsbook prices come from The Odds API. Schedules, statistics, injury reports and rosters come from nflverse; live game status and the final-score check before bets settle come from BALLDONTLIE; and forecasts come from the US National Weather Service, or MET Norway for games abroad and whenever the NWS is unavailable.
Data creditsAre the odds live?
No. Unitley refreshes the main markets on a schedule: normally Tuesday morning for the opening lines, Saturday morning after Friday's injury reports, and about 90 minutes before each group of kickoffs. Every price shows how long ago it was fetched. Prices move, so check yours at the sportsbook before you bet.
How it worksWhy FanDuel's prices?
Each game shows FanDuel's moneyline, spread and total, with the chance each price implies. Unitley also compares the books it tracks at FanDuel's line, to show the best price on offer and a no-vig chance from their consensus.
How do player props work?
Props a game already has show straight away. Otherwise, within 24 hours of kickoff, "Load props for this game" fetches them on request. Fetched props are shared by everyone through a cache, under a monthly quota that keeps the main odds running.

03Unitley and AI
Which AI can I use Unitley with?
Three ways. In Claude (recommended): connect Claude Code or Claude Desktop to Unitley's MCP server and use your own Claude plan. In other AI agents: Cursor, Hermes and other MCP clients connect the same way, and anything else can call the REST API; claude.ai and ChatGPT are planned for launch. Or in Unitley's web app, with an analyst that runs on your own Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenRouter API key.
Unitley in ClaudeIs my API key safe?
A key you add for the web analyst is encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before it is stored, used only on Unitley's servers to make your requests, and never logged. The app shows only its last four characters. Analyst chats are not saved.
PrivacyDoes the analyst search the web?
No. It answers from Unitley's own data: the slate, odds, props, injuries, statistics, weather, the betting math and Unitley's guides. It is told to say so in its answers, since news and late changes may be missing.

04Bankroll and responsible gambling
How does Unitley size a bet?
With a fraction of the Kelly criterion and a cap per bet, set by your risk profile: Conservative is a quarter Kelly and at most 2% of your bankroll, Balanced a third and 3%, Aggressive a half and 5%. Full Kelly is never used, and a bet with no edge gets no stake.
Bankroll and limitsCan Unitley stop me from betting too much?
Unitley can't stop a bet, since you place bets with your sportsbook. You can set daily and weekly loss limits and a maximum stake, and Unitley warns you when a bet would pass them. For a hard stop, use your sportsbook's own limits or self-exclusion.
Responsible gamblingWho can use Unitley?
Adults of 21 or over, for betting only where it is legal for them. If gambling stops being fun, call 1-800-GAMBLER or visit ncpgambling.org.
